Why do you not show cars from all of the dealers?

Customer satisfaction matters to us, which is why we only work with tried and tested, reliable dealers. Every car we include in our offer must meet strict criteria — out of 7 million listings, only around 10% pass our screening.

Do you sell only cars that have been inspected?

Each vehicle must pass a thorough technical inspection consisting of more than 270 parameters before it can be sold. In addition to this, Carvago becomes the owner of the car before it is delivered to the customer and assumes all risks associated with the vehicle. And if there is any problem, you can return the car to us at any time within 14 days of purchase.

Where do the cars in your offer come from?

The size of the offer often determines whether or not you find the car you are looking for. So far, customers in the Czech Republic have been able to choose from 70,000 cars. However, Carvago offers more than 1 000 000. And each car is just as close as the next - one click away. And since you are buying the car from us, communication is always only in Czech, regardless where the car is located. We will take care of any language and legal issues. If you're looking for a 2017 Volkswagen Golf with a diesel engine and a mileage of at most 50,000 kilometers, you will find about 10 of them for sale in the Czech Republic. You will find at least 153 cars with these parameters at Carvago. And a lot of them at a better price, with better equipment or better looking.

We arrange a vehicle inspection

To make sure every car we sell is in top condition, we first have it thoroughly inspected by a certified mechanic. The inspection covers 270 checkpoints, and you'll see the results before you decide to buy.

Which things do we check?

First of all, we physically inspect each car using the CarAudit service which includes 270 inspection points, VIN verification and detailed photos of any damage. Where possible, we request complete service documentation which we compare with the physical condition of the car and the records from the authorised dealers. We also compare the car with other cars on the market of a similar age and with a similar mileage. We only recommend cars in excellent technical condition.

Who inspects the car?

Depending on the car’s country of origin, we either use our network of authorised technicians to perform a thorough inspection, or work with local authorised centres, such as Dekra, TUV, Pirelli and others. Everything is performed in line with a standardised process and the result is compared with similar cars on the market. We only recommend cars in excellent technical condition.

What does “we inspect up to 3 cars” mean?

You can choose up to three cars and mark the one you prefer most. Although we list only cars from verified sellers, your preferred car might be unavailable or fail our strict technical inspection. If that happens, we immediately inspect the next cars on your list and arrange a thorough physical check. Our goal is for you to always buy the best car possible.

How much does a CarAudit™ cost?

The actual inspection of the car will cost you - and we are usually able to arrange this within 2 working days. You will receive a detailed report from the inspection together with our recommendation and you can then decide for yourself whether you want to buy the car. The vehicle inspection fee is a one-off fee and covers our costs for the call out of the technician, physical inspection, test drive, verification of the vehicle’s origin and condition, and the recommendation to purchase. If we find the car to be unsuitable, you will not lose any money and we will refund the CarAudit™ payment. You also have the option of choosing another car.

You can either pay for the car with your own money or use financing via Carvago. We have above-standard conditions agreed with many verified banks and financial service providers.

Can I also pay in cash at the branch?

In view of the fact that this an online sale, payment in cash is not possible. Payment can be made either by bank transfer or by means of a cash deposit to our account in the bank.

I like the car. What comes next?

Once you have chosen your car and decided to have it inspected, you then choose the method of payment, either bank transfer or using financing from one of our partners. In the last step of the order, you can choose from a wide range of additional services.

Can I sell my old car on Carvago?

Unfortunately, our car buyback service is currently not available in your country. However, we are constantly working on expanding our services, so please check back soon!

Can I buy the car on credit?

Yes, you can either pay the whole purchase price of the car or choose the option of financing with a down payment. First of all, you order and pay for the inspection of the car to confirm your interest in the chosen car. We will pass on your request, together with your chosen car details to our financial partners for evaluation. You don’t have to worry about anything. As soon as we receive the result we will let you know.

What happens next?

If you have decided to buy the car, confirm the order. We will issue you a proforma invoice for the remaining price of the car and handle all the formalities, so that you can have your chosen car as soon as possible.

We purchase the car and deregister it in its country of origin.

Each country has its own regulations, for instance in Slovakia a vehicle must be deregistered in the same place it was registered. It’s not every business that works like Carvago.

We receive the car and again thoroughly inspect it.

In our technical center we once again verify the state of the car, and if it turns out that something is wrong, we fix it or sort it out with the seller.

We arrange the MOT, registration check and licence plates.

In order to arrange this we need a power of attorney from you. We will talk about this when we successfully purchase the car.

If you want, we also arrange car insurance.

We have very good conditions arranged with several partners, so you don’t need to take care of anything.

We’ll deliver it to your house, or a pick-up point

Where can I pick up my car?

Wherever you wish. Whether we deliver the car directly to your doorstep or you pick it up at one of our pick-up points is entirely up to you. We will hand over the keys and documents, and your only worry will be deciding where to go for your first drive. At the pick-up point, we will also demonstrate the car and answer any questions you may have.

How long will it take for you to deliver my car?

The process from payment receipt to car handover typically takes around 20 business days. We always strive to deliver as quickly as possible; however, in some cases, delivery times may be extended due to administrative procedures in individual European countries. Rest assured, we are doing everything possible to hand over the car to you in the shortest possible time. Transparency and open communication are key for us, which is why we will keep you informed about the status of your order and any potential changes to the delivery schedule.
